Profile
Harun Nyagori is a Professor of Cardiology and also serves as a Senior Medical Consultant in Internal Medicine and Cardiologist at Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a Visiting Consultant at Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and a Visiting Cardiologist at Bahamme Polyclinic in Morogoro, Tanzania, as well as at Afya Medicare Polyclinic in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Prof. Nyagori specializes in Cardiac CT and is an Honorary Lecturer and Visiting Lecturer at SFUCHAS and the American College of Cardiology in Washington DC, USA. Additionally, he is the Managing Director and Owner of Afya Medicare Specialized Centers and Bahamme Hospitals in Tanzania. He earned his MD from Lugansk State Medical University in Ukraine and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Super Specialty in Cardiology at the same university. Professor Nyagori's research interests focus on the failure of Hypertensive drugs, Rheumatic Heart Disease Challenges in Africa, Forensic Medicine, and DNA in the Courtroom. He has published several peer-reviewed articles. Professor Nyagori is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a Fellow member of The Royal College of Physicians in Africa, a Full Member of the American Society of Echocardiogram (ASE), and the American Heart Association (AHA).
