Dr Yona A. Gandye registered and completed his bachelor of medicine, masters of medicine (internal medicine) and masters of science (cardiology) at Muhas, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Recently he has pursued and certified for foundation training in electrophysiology under African Heart Rhythm Association (AFHRA), he has undergone practical training in electrophysiology in Shandong provincial hospital, Shandong, China and Shifa hospital in new Cairo, Egypt. He has been practicing cardiology since 2013, interventional cardiology since 2017 and electrophysiology since 2019. He has to his credit been performing coronary angioplasties in excess of 200 annually. He is the first cardiologist to perform conventional mapping and ablation of Psvt (supraventricular tachycardias) and 3D mapping and ablation of ventricular idiopathic arrhythmia.
