She is a warm-hearted, kind, and hard-working specialist in Gynecology and obstetrics, Clinical Embryology, and Assisted conception. Dr Nilda attained her degree in Doctor of Medicine in 1985 at the higher Institute of Medical Sciences, Cuba. She then acquired a postgraduate in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Mariana Grajales, Cuba. Despite all this, Dr Nilda saw the need to advance further with a master’s in Science of critical attention to women at the Medical University of East Timor, Cuba. In September 2014, Dr Nilda attended a basic Laparoscopy course in Nairobi at the Nairobi Surgical Skills Center and upgraded her laparoscopy skills by attending an intermediate Gynecology Laparoscopy course in Nairobi. More training happened at the Muhimbili National Hospital at the Laparoscopy Surgery Workshop. In addition, Dr Nilda participated in an IVF training program approved by the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Societies of India at the Vani IVF centre.
